Job description

What Will You Do?

  • To support Sales in the budget bidding process
  • Responsible for the firm bidding process through contract signing
  • Direct responsible for Application Engineer, provide technical support to Sales team.
  • Grow Howden’s reciprocating compressor business in Korea by offering customer facing technical support and retrofit / upgrade / overhaul proposals
  • Support Howden Korea workshop growth by providing technical support on compressor parts refurbishment and CPI valve reconditioning
  • Prepare commercial & technical proposals based on specification or material requisition.
  • Perform technical assessment of proposal prepared by sales team.
  • Review and evaluate client’s specifications and sizing of compressors / Fans / heaters and auxiliary equipment .
  • Establish clarification required by the client based on client’s specifications in conjunction with the specialists.
  • Develop the technical offer and complete required documentation to meet client request.
  • Clarify the technical offer with the customer and end-users are required.
  • Establish the cost analysis of the compressor, Fans and heaters and auxiliary accessories.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Administrative diligence – accurately and efficiently in a timely manner prepare required documents and seek to continuously improve office procedures
  • Liaise with PBU (Product Business Units) in order to start transferring PBUs knowledge and being a backup instead of PBU sales or technical team in local.
  • Embrace Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and apply the use of the core company values

Your Experience Should Be...

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or related discipline
  • 5 years experience in compressor field preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in solving complex issues logically in the field of Compressors, fans, heaters, and their associated systems
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful environment and under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with software and control systems.
  • English : Fluent (TOECI >

    • 750 or other equivalent licensor is acceptable)

  • Demonstrable focus on working safely for self and others.
  • Technical and commercial negotiation skill in the client / supplier relatio nship

    • Desirable Skills, knowledge & experience]

  • Experience working on compressors, fans & heaters installed in refinery, chemical plants, mining, power stations and oil & gas industries.
  • Reciprocating compressor experience preferred
