About the Role
We are looking for an experienced BDM to drive business growth and expand the company's presence in the Korean market.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with a strong network of potential customers and business partners in Korea, particularly those who can identify and develop opportunities within specialized and technical product markets.
You will work closely with the German-based team and will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and converting your existing network and market knowledge into measurable revenue.
Due to the international nature of the role, strong English communication skills are essential. The successful candidate should be comfortable communicating with the German team in English and may also be required to support interpretation or translation during business visits and meetings in Korea.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the company's presence and revenue in the Korean market.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential customers, distributors, partners, and key accounts.
• Leverage an established professional network and existing business relationships to generate new sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Understand customer requirements and identify suitable solutions from the company's specialized product portfolio.
• Manage the full business development cycle, from lead generation and prospecting through negotiation and closing.
• Develop a clear and measurable sales pipeline and provide regular updates on business opportunities and revenue potential.
• Collaborate closely with the German team to align on market strategy, customer requirements, and commercial opportunities.
• Represent the company professionally in customer meetings, business visits, trade events, and other relevant industry activities.
• Support communication between Korean customers and the German team, including interpretation or translation when required.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
• Provide market feedback and insights to the German team to support product and business strategy in Korea.
Requirements
• Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related commercial role.
• Strong understanding of the Korean market and established relationships with relevant companies and decision-makers.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and convert professional networks into measurable revenue.
• Existing network of potential customers, partners, or accounts that can support business development activities in Korea.
• Strong business-level English communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with an international/German-based team.
• Ability to participate in English-language meetings, presentations, negotiations, and business discussions.
• Willingness and ability to provide interpretation or translation support during business visits in Korea, when required.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, commercially driven, and capable of working independently.
• Experience working with international companies or multinational teams is highly preferred.
