Description We have an opening for a bilingual (English/Korean), part-time/contract career coach based in Seoul, South Korea to support our relocation solutions.

  • We support employees and their spouses/families as they acclimate to new cities, and assist spouses/partners with finding employment/career opportunities in the new area. The Coach works in a 1:1 capacity with employees of our client companies who are relocating by using IMPACT Group's technology and coaching methodology. The coach also supports the spouse or partner of the relocating employee with job search support.

This is a part time, contract and remote (based in Seoul, S.

Korea) position, approximately 8-10 hours per month.

Establishes rapport with participants and motivates them to achieve goals.

Guides participants through coaching process and milestone completion.

Advises and coaches on career development, transition and cross cultural issues, and career options.

Coaches on CV/résumé writing, effective marketing techniques, interviewing and negotiating.

Maintains electronic service delivery record for each participant serviced, according to the internal guidelines.

Monitors progress of participants, consults with them on specific subjects to improve their job search skills and knowledge and deals with personal issues that are affecting their careers and integrating into the new area.

Requirements: At least 5-7 years experience coaching others in job search: We’re seeking a certified career and transition coach with 5 to 7 years of experience.

Ideally, the candidate will be an expat or repat, with strong cross-cultural competence.

The right person will have proven experience in facilitation, business coaching, career coaching, and integration coaching.

  • \ Resume development, interview preparation, career exploration, LinkedIn profiles and other aspects of job search coaching.

Experience working with expatriates on job searches in South Korea .

Very strong verbal / written communication skills (bilingual--English & Korean required ), additional languages a plus.

Able to analyze and appropriately address transitional and cross-cultural needs. Ability to engage and foster positive relationships with participants..

Understanding of business and cultural practices within South Korea and surrounding areas.

Currently lives and/or work s in South Korea, preferably in the Seoul area.

High-speed internet connection on a personal computer; headset with a microphone will be required ( remote work ).

Experience working with job seekers of various professions and levels.

Experience working with international job seekers, including career continuation scenarios.

Ideal Candidate: Master’s degree in a discipline involving the study of human behavior, business or related field preferred.

Coaching certificate or training.

Familiarity with Zoom & MS Teams.

Has personally relocated to a different country.

Fluently speaks both languages, English/Korean.

Additional language also a plus.
