Hauptaufgaben

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Multimedia Specialist with responsibilities for the coordination and development/maintenance of comprehensive multimedia-based products in support of Eighth Army Public Affairs Office (PAO) for use in training videos and graphics, social media posts, Web content and for broadcast on AFN or stand-alone platforms. Assists the Public Affairs Officer by creating content in support of internal and external information programs that communicates installation, 8th Army, Major Subordinate Commands and community activities, policy, programs, features and news. A paramount knowledge of broadcast news and short-form documentary gathering/procurement and production principles, concepts, methods and equipment is required to perform duties, in addition to knowledge of graphic design techniques and best practices for the creation of social media content. Specific application of technical knowledge of video and still camera equipment, components and editing systems, services, and technologies is required in support of PAO. Photoshop and Adobe Final Cut Pro experience preferred. Coordinates independently with Eighth Army staff and MSC subject matter experts to create multimedia projects in support of their internal and external message needs for publication in various platforms. Prepares concept sketches, detailed itineraries, scripts and storyboards in support of approved or assigned staff and MSC productions. Films/shoots, directs multi-camera studio and field or remote products. Digitally edits video and generates on-screen text and graphics as required that engage the audience or that help enhance audience understanding of the intended message. Uses audio-mixing equipment and lighting practices to ensure professional productions. Collects secondary footage for use in productions and coordinates for live video broadcasts via social media or other platforms. Staffs material with other offices and uses accepted journalism practices to ensure content contains the most up to date and accurate information. Manages the routine review of legacy products in coordination with directorates and staffs as well as assisting the web manager and social media manager in providing up-to-date and comprehensive content to support the PAO's policy, procedures, schedules, and other information. Employee coordinates with project manager and clients and develops appropriate graphic designs for products. Integrates updates and new postings into existing products and updates products with new content, editing in new videos, images and photos to support content. Develops key performance metrics to improve performance of content on social media platforms and maintains and compiles records of content. Manages PAO video archive protocol. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

Applicants must possess a ROK driver's license (1st Class Normal-type) and must successfully pass a USFK performance test for the type of equipment to be operated.
