Freelance Subtitling Translators/QCers (various pairs)

About the role

Due to increased demand for localized content in the APAC region, Pixelogic is looking for experienced subtitling translators and QCers to establish a professional, high-performing collaboration as part of our language services department with the end goal of servicing our clients’ end-to-end projects.

Language pairs currently needed:

• English <> Korean
• Japanese into English
• Korean <> Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
• Korean <> Japanese
• Japanese <> Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a flexible attitude, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, they must be able to work as part of a team that deals with changing priorities and workloads.

Due to the sensitive nature of the delivery schedule, time flexibility is of paramount importance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of subtitle file creation, depending on assignment, whether Conforming, Timing and Spotting, Translating or Proofreading/QC’ing of subtitle files using Pixelogic proprietary cloud based subtitling software
• Leverage in-house glossary tool for consistency across products as well as follow client style guide specifications
• Handle rejections/make corrections in files
• Remain current with industry trends, and adapt to evolving client requirements
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of translation and/or proofreading experience required
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on-time delivery and flexible working hours)
• Ability to follow technical / style guide for multiple client content types
