Serves as the Lead Supply Technician in a theater level Supply Support Activity (SSA) within the U.S. Army Materiel Support Command–Korea (MSC K), responsible for directing and performing a wide range of complex technical supply management functions supporting storage, distribution, and retrograde operations for Class II, VII, VIII, and IX materiel. Leads lower graded personnel in daily supply operations, ensuring tasks are properly prioritized, executed, and documented in accordance with mission requirements, regulatory standards, and established internal controls. Conducts independent research and analysis when established methods do not provide adequate resolution, applying advanced problem solving techniques to address atypical or complex supply conditions. Work is performed in both warehouse and stock control environments, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead personnel in a dynamic, fast paced operational setting. 1. Technical Supervision and Operational Support: Leads lower graded personnel in executing inventory management tasks, storage operations, and supply documentation workflows, ensuring work is properly prioritized and completed according to mission requirements. Oversees daily assignments, monitors task progress, and provides technical direction to maintain accuracy, accountability, and compliance across all supply functions. Trains and educates employees on logistics systems, supply procedures, inventory research techniques, and regulatory updates, ensuring personnel maintain proficiency in required technical competencies. Conducts informal coaching, performance reinforcement, and on the job training to correct deficiencies, strengthen technical skills, and improve overall team performance. Assists in the on boarding process for newly hired employees by coordinating system access for GCSS Army and web based logistics platforms, ensuring personnel can immediately perform required daily tasks. Provides structured orientation on workflow expectations, documentation standards, and operational procedures to accelerate employee readiness. Oversees the execution of routine and complex supply actions, reviewing work for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation flow. Identifies procedural gaps or performance issues and implements corrective guidance to maintain high quality supply operations. Coordinates with supervisors to identify skill gaps, recommend targeted training, and support developmental opportunities for lower graded staff. Contributes to operational improvement by evaluating team performance trends, recommending workload adjustments, and ensuring manpower is effectively aligned with mission priorities. 2. Technical Analysis and Operational Improvement: Independently conduct technical analysis using a wide range of supply data and regulatory guidance to identify Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and produce scheduled review and analysis presentations. Orchestrates technical research and analysis throughout the Inventory Adjustment Report (IAR) process and provides causative research data to support the administrative finalization of the IAR. Organizes and compiles technical data elements and Army Master Data File (AMDF) information to support retrograde supply procedures and determine materiel serviceability. Self determines required Key Performance Indicator (KPI) elements and extracts associated data from GCSS Army and other authoritative systems of record to technically support data driven MSC K internal review and analysis products. Develops data supported recommendations to improve supply accuracy, workflow efficiency, and compliance across MSC K operations. Contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives by validating analytical findings and coordinating corrective actions with operational stakeholders. Formulates data supported recommendations for improving supply procedures, documentation flow, inventory control methods, and distribution practices. Assists management in implementing revised procedures that enhance supply accountability, operational efficiency, and logistical support capability. Prepares reports, analytical studies, and supporting documentation related to supply operations and inventory accountability. Strengthens operational decision making by validating analytical findings and ensuring recommended process changes align with regulatory requirements and mission priorities. Supports continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring the effectiveness of implemented changes and identifying additional opportunities to optimize supply performance. Utilizes multiple logistics systems and data platforms—including GCSS Army, DLA WEBVLIPS, WEBFLIS, DAASINQ, WEBSDR, Army FEDLOG, Army Vantage, and the Decision Support Tool—to conduct data extraction, analysis, organization, and research, and to generate or finalize supply posture, performance metrics, and operational reporting products. Applies comprehensive knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, and automated systems to independently perform and oversee inventory management, stock control, and property accountability functions. Gathers, compiles, and evaluates data from multiple sources to develop data matrices, analytical reports, and recommendations supporting process improvement, increased efficiency, and cost effectiveness across MSC K operations. Develops, evaluates, and recommends storage plans, space utilization strategies, and material handling procedures to support operational requirements. 3. Supply Operations and Inventory Management: Performs advanced supply support, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, issue, and accountability of Army materiel across supply and distribution operations. Analyzes inventory records, supply transactions, and automated logistics system data to identify discrepancies, stock imbalances, and documentation errors requiring corrective action. Conducts detailed research and reconciliation of supply transactions by reviewing inventory records, requisitions, receipts, adjustments, and transportation shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and accountability. Investigates complex supply discrepancies-including inventory overages, inventory shortages, shipment errors, incorrect stock numbers, unit of issue variances, and pricing or accounting irregularities-and determine root causes through systematic analysis and verification of supporting documentation. Initiates corrective actions to restore accountability, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance within supply records. Identifies deficiencies requiring Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), initiates SDR actions to ensure issues are formally reported to national level life cycle management commands and maintains follow up communication to provide additional data, resolve discrepancies, and support closure of the SDR process. Reviews, analyzes, and resolves complex supply discrepancies, including inventory adjustments, causative research, and reconciliation actions involving property book, non expendable, durable, and readiness driven equipment. Performs detailed technical analysis and administrative review of supply transactions and supporting documentation to determine accuracy, validity, and regulatory compliance. Identifies systemic issues contributing to inventory inaccuracies and develops corrective actions to improve supply effectiveness, audit readiness, and operational reliability. 4. Warehouse Storage Management and Operations Support: Provides tactical and technical support in planning and organizing storage and distribution operations to ensure efficient utilization of warehouse, open storage, and specialized storage areas. Assists facility engineers and storage management personnel in developing and evaluating storage plans that optimize space utilization while ensuring safe handling, accessibility, and preservation of all supplies and equipment. Performs layout and configuration analysis to identify storage inefficiencies and supports implementation of improvements that enhance warehouse safety, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness. Evaluates warehouse layouts, storage configurations, and material handling practices to assess space allocation, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency. Conducts site inspections and storage surveys to verify storage capacity, environmental conditions, and safety compliance. Monitors and evaluates warehouse operations to ensure compliance with supply regulations, safety requirements, and internal control measures. Coordinates with internal and external organizations to resolve complex supply issues and ensure timely receipt, accountability, distribution, and retrograde processing of materiel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

1. This position has been designated as KN EMERGENCY-ESSENTIAL (MISSION ESSENTIAL). KN EE (ME) Position Agreement Form (USFK Form 200EK) must be signed prior to appointment of the selectee for this position. 2. Relocation Allowance will NOT be authorized for the selectee from outside the commuting area. 3. The employment age range for recruitment and placement is 18 to 61.
