Job Description
The Position
In collaboration with the Country Compliance Committee and Country Leadership Team, the BPM(Business Practice Manager=Compliance Manager) provides operational leadership and support to all compliance programs. BPMs report into the Organon commercial organization and are an extension of the Office of Ethics & Compliance (“OEC”), and International Legal & Compliance (“ILC”). BPM for Korea will report to the Managing Director of Organon Korea. BPMs are the operational experts and accountable for the compliance of their respective countries or clusters, with the OEC and ILC being the subject matter experts for compliance.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Supporting the Managing Director to enhance awareness on our Company’s Values and Standards, Corporate Policies and Compliance Policies, SOPs and Guidance
- Lead and oversight of implementation of evolving Organon compliance frameworks for local business organizations in collaboration with Legal & Compliance (Policies, SOPs and Guidance)
- Serve as subject matter expert of all business related policies and procedures (owned by the commercial organization) that include compliance controls in close collaboration with the Managing Director
- Taking a strong and active role in ensuring consistent and effective compliance standards in the organization, including but not limited to tracking and monitoring key areas of risk through systems such as Pulse, etc.
- Facilitating and coordinating relevant Compliance Committee meetings including applicable sub-committees such as Country Grants and Donations Committee, etc.
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders on queries relating to the local Code of Practice, Policies and Healthcare Professional (“HCP”) interactions
- Regular self-audits of HCP interactions and documentation / reporting of results
- Oversight and Coordination (commercial operations guidance) of applicable pharmaceutical or medical device (or equivalent) codes of conduct whether or not promulgated at law
- Manage implementation of changes, conduct review sessions with stakeholders, communicate & train (or support training by subject matter experts) on new and revised policies, processes and procedures, document training and ensure attendance sheets for training are tracked and stored appropriately
- Supporting internal investigations as needed (Compliance Issue Visibility and Response, local investigations into alleged Compliance breaches, etc.)
- Serve as primary point of contact for Audit and Risk Assessment processes
- Ensure that all related Third Party Risk Management (“TPRM”) policies, standards, and practices are effectively implemented and followed.
- Provide oversight and execution of Organon’s TPRM governance program, including but not limited to the relevant Compliance Committee meetings, to assess, monitor and mitigate risks associated with alliance partners in collaboration with Business Development / Alliance Team.
- Support due diligence on potential third-party vendors, suppliers, agents, and other business associates as applicable.
- Act as Country Privacy Steward
- Support ongoing compliance program improvements
